The land drains are now in place around the front and the side of the building.
But we don't yet know where the foul water and rain water drains are in the road outside. Severn Trent's maps are inaccurate - and by their own admission they don't really know where they run. So today Chris, Nigel and Dan turned up with some fluorescent green dye, and tipped some water into a couple of manholes... but couldn't find where it appeared lower down the system!
They are going to resort to digging out from our house and fingers crossed they will bump into a sewer ot two.
Inside, the plasterwork is progressing, and more windows are getting finished. This is our bedroom, looking towards The Shrubbery, and one of the three ventilation grills, which will have inner glass window frames.
And plumbing is being squeezed into a false wall at the back of the stairs.
