The plan is for a hipped roof, and I decided to start off with a few prefabricated roof trusses. Luckily Steve turned up to lend a hand and we soon got the central section of the roof in place. Unfortunately Steve also spotted the mistake in my plan for the hip-joists, so tonight's job is to rethink how they attach to the rest .... But while we were thinking, the relatives moved in.
One more day of learning how to make hip-joists, and plenty of help from Steve, Sue and Hugh, and we are all done (in)! There are a few jack rafters to finish, and then the roof is ready for its covering of OSB board.
