We received more photos from Paul at Carpenter Oak, showing progress on the braces which will form the "trees" in the open plan living area. The braces won't come together into their final 3D form until they are assembled on site.
And there is a growing pile of off-cuts from all of the curves!
The work has reached the last major layout phase, and you can see the curved plate runs being laid out so that they can be cut into the principal rafters. It all looks as if it is at a tilt because once on site, the rafters will follow the slope of the roof, while the curved plates will actually be horizontal.
And last but not least, metal feet for the posts that will be outside, holding up the porch roof.
