As a parting gift, Marcus, Francis and Harry (the Croatians and Romanian) have finished the block work and laid the turf.
Stephanie has planted a line of lavender around the front of the house
and I have planted a line of Portugese laurel to make a hedge between us and the churchyard (luckily Chris M-C dug all the holes with a digger, so it wasn't quite as back-breaking as it might have been).
Chris M-C has also prepared the concrete box that will form a barrier for our rain water, with a "hydro-brake" slowing its exit into the public drains.
