We scraped more soil away, and the archaeologists were on hand to keep an eye out for the rest of the ditch. In fact a smaller curved enclosure came to light, and Martin took a few sections through this, and through what he thought was probably a post hole. He found a few more bits of pottery too. Maybe this is all part of Robert of Wych's back yard?
