I got back from a week away to find signs of more days spent moving bricks and blocks into place, and also evidence of service trenches (these were dug out and almost immediately disappeared again, with only the empty ducts and a drawstring in each one, ready for pipes and cables to be pulled through).
Then the surveyor spent hours carefully measuring out the locations of the sub-floor sections, using a fancy positioning meter accurate to 3 mm. There are something like 150 positions marked out each with a nice blue nail. Luckily they all seem to be where the concrete also is!
