The first sets of short beams are put in place, and grey breeze blocks are slotted between them. Rather surprisingly, the whole lot is simply sitting on top of the concrete block wall - so when an earthquake comes, they can all rattle along and fall off! I'm hoping a little bit of concrete will be added soon, to provide some glue.
