We have had a small number of leaks - perhaps 3 or 4 over 2 years - when the rain really pelts down. It's stained one of the oak posts. This is how it was in May 2020, after another severe storm.
After several visits by the roofers (Q&M), we narrowed it down to a probable leak in the skylight, where the seal around the glass had separated from the aluminium frame, compounded by missing zinc flashing and not helped by the lack of weatherproof membrane above the wooden frame.
So over a few weeks, the skylight folk came and replaced the sealant around the glass, and today we lifted all 3 skylights, Q&M added extra zinc flashing around the top the frame, Bickfords laid 2 ribbons of butyl sealant, and everything is back in place.
It'll take another real storm to test it, but I'm pretty confident we found - and fixed - the problem.
