Nigel has been busy laying underfloor heating pipes - these are just stapled to the insulated foam, and everything should all be laid out by Thursday when the liquid screed is poured over and holds them in place.
He's even skirting around bath and shower areas!
By the next day, the downstairs areas are also prepared. The little metal trifids are to level up the screed as its poured.
Meanwhile, we have just bought a log burning stove, ex-display (so ignore this price!)
And in my workshop, which is looking like a rather messy zinc factory, there's a nice new shiny flue pipe that will stick up through the living room roof. Unfortunately Andy & Jason have got stuck in Ireland - no ferries are running until Storm Ophelia passes by.
