We had about 600 visitors over the weekend, for Alvechurch's binennial open gardens and it seemed that most of them looked at - and admired - the new house. Three architects among them were all very enthusiastic.
After the weekend we were told that 687 people had bought tickets - and together, the 11 gardens raised £5115 for the NGS group of charities.
And in July we had the last ever "Shrubb-fest", with 42 family members for the weekend.
