Next steps

The temporary staircase, that has survived 3 months and a least two moves has now gone and acess to the upstairs is by ladder. But the new oak stairs have arrived, and will be assembled next week. The steps are huge solid chucks of oak!
Mike has started to assemble them now, but there's a problem: they are so heavy that he's not sure how to get them into place if he puts the whole flight together. So he may need to assemble the top flight step-by-step, in mid-air!
The last of the grey limestone tiles are going down in the hallway.
Outside the drive is ready for a layer or tarmac, prior to a finishing layer of "tar and chip", where chips of stone are rolled into a molten top coat of tarmac.
And the metal downpipes for the drains are all in place.
A stack of plastic tiles has arrived for my workshop roof. When laid they should match the slate tiles of The Shrubbery.
