We have at long last heard back from the Land Registry that The Shrubbery land is officially separated - the old house will keep 1.25 acres and the new house has 1 acre. Chris continued the slow and steady physical separation, installing the 5-bar gates that used to guard the vegetable patch across the top of the driveway.
We also received all the final design drawings for the oak frame. Stephanie and I seem to be walking through already.
The designer, Paul Kirkup from Carpenter Oak, has even done a mock-up of what size of crane will be needed.
There's an amazing thing called a Spider that can crawl though a small gap and still lift a huge lump of oak 16m into the air!
